Hi everyone,
I registered for a fund-raising run with proceeds benefiting Back on My Feet, and I hope you'll consider sponsoring me.
The third annual Back on My Feet Midnight Madness Race is Philadelphia's only glow-in-the-dark run, which takes place on Saturday, July 17th at Midnight (technically Sunday morning). The 8.4-mile race starts and finishes in front of Lloyd Hall in Philly's Art Museum area and is open to 525 people this year.
Back on My Feet is a nonprofit organization that promotes the self-sufficiency of homeless populations by engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem. The organization does not provide food nor does it provide shelter, but instead provides a community that embraces equality, respect, discipline, teamwork and leadership. There are no labels, no stigmas and no stereotypes. At Back on My Feet, all members - regardless of race, education or socioeconomic status - join together to move their own lives forward as well as the lives of their teammates (more info about Back On My Feet's Philadelphia chapter).
If you'd like to sponsor me, my fund-raising page is: http://www.active.com/donate/3rdAnnual20in24/AMcClen6
The contribution website is secure, fast and easy to use. You'll be able to choose an amount to donate and receive email confirmation of your tax-deductible donation.
Thanks for reading! :)
